Water Tower Project
In September of 2014 the City of Toledo was awarded a $725,000 community Block Grant (CDBG) to construct a new 200,000-gallon water reservoir and refurbish the existing water reservoir. Larry Brown Construction located in Bellingham, Wa was awarded the bid and started construction in August 2016. The project was completed in June 2017.
Muralist Peter Goetzinger from Spokane, WA completed the mural painting in June 2017, which shows Simon Plomondon, the first white settler in the area, Cowlitz River Steamboat , Cowlitz Tribal members and lumber train.
